That's a Wrap!

In the final episode of the third season of Tackle Tuesday podcast, we reflect back on the concepts covered throughout the last 7 episodes (of this season) and connect it back to the notion of creating brave spaces.

In our newly developed online course, Creating Brave Spaces, we cover a lot of topics across many lessons and modules. This podcast was a space for us to conclude the third season of the podcast by making time to reflect back on the year and pull from our own experiences having now worked with clients through the course and concepts covered in it.

This episode revisits the original catalyst for deciding to develop Creating Brave Spaces – mainly, what we were hearing from clients regarding their needs in the workplace. Then we did a quick recap of the major concepts covered throughout the previous 7 episodes of the season.

Some of the questions we examine in the episode:

  • What is the role of trust when creating brave spaces? What happens when a team or group has lost trust? How can teams rebuild trust?
  • How do you know when a brave space has been attained? What are indicators of a brave space?
  • What is the role or impact of power when it comes to brave spaces? How do we take into account power (e.g., power dynamics, unequal power, invisible power) when creating safe or brave spaces?

Katie and I share our thoughts on these questions and also pull from some research around what a common killer of a safe or brave space is. Any guesses? Be sure to tune in to hear more!
