Women from Law Enforcement
Our Woman Up! Cohort 4 begins on October 3rd and we can't wait! It is always a pleasure to facilitate the learning, growth, and connection space for the women who join our program. In this cohort, we are excited to be joined by women from the law enforcement community and non-for-profit sector.
In our first virtual session, we will be diving into goal-setting. Setting the intention at the beginning of our program is key to connecting the learning to each participant’s leadership goal.
Our unique approach to facilitating participants’ commitment to their leadership goals lies in developing their growth mindset and resilience. That is why we have partnered with Twisted Oak Wellness and Yoga to develop a video series that is designed to support every participant in their life’s work and continuous learning journey.
Twisted Oak Wellness and Yoga was co-founded by Scott Jones and his wife, Terri Jones. Scott is a retired Superintendent from the Edmonton Police Service and Terri is an an Occupational Therapist. Both are certified yoga instructors who have devoted their purpose and practice to enhancing the well-being of others.
Tackling inequity in our workplaces to ensure women and other underrepresented groups have fair treatment and advocacy can deplete our energy domains. Taking time out for ourselves to find peace, strength, balance, and courage should never be categorized as a want but an absolute need.
